We are pleased to announce that Department of Chemistry at Indian Institute of Technology Patna is organizing 2nd Recent Trends in Chemical Science and Technology (RTCST) on 1st-2nd March, 2024. The main objective of the symposium is to provide a forum for the exchange of knowledge, experience, research findings and information on various aspects of Chemical Science and Technology. The research topics includes different aspects to chemical sciences, which includes organic, inorganic, physical, polymer, materials and biochemistry and it’s applications to fulfil our societal need.

REACHING IIT PATNA
The IIT Patna campus, situated in Bihta, enjoys convenient transportation links. The closest airport is the Jai Prakash Narayan Domestic Airport in Patna, just 35 kilometers away. For rail travel, the Bihta railway station, merely 2 kilometers from the campus, serves as the nearest stop. Positioned 28 kilometers west of Patna Junction railway station, Bihta station connects to major cities across India via the Delhi-Kolkata main line.
Local trains between Patna and Bihta offer frequent service, with the Bihta station a short distance from campus. The journey typically takes 35-40 minutes. Additionally, Patna city connects to Bihta via local train routes, ensuring accessible transportation options.
Road connectivity is also robust, with regular bus services operated by the Government of Bihar running between Gandhi Maidan in Patna and the IIT Patna campus, facilitating smooth travel to and from Patna. The live tracking of the buses could be found in the android/App store CHALO app (The route number is 888 and 888AC).

Patna, historically known as Patliputra, stands as one of India's ancient cities, nestled along the sacred banks of the Ganga River. Abstract submission: (deadline 19th February)
Registration: This is a two step process (deadline 19th February).
1. First pay the registration fee.
2. Fill up the registration form and submit.
Reg. fee payment - Please select RTCST 2024 as payment category. After payment note down the payment ID/transaction ID and take a screenshot/print as proof of payment. Alternatively, you can select your bank statement or UPI statement for the same.
